Go behind-the-scenes to discover the science and secrets of creating movie magic
The glitz, glamour and gore of Hollywood heads to The Lowry this weekend for an explosive half-term treat for all the family.
THE HOLLYWOOD SPECIAL EFFECTS SHOW takes you behind the scenes of the UK’s favourite films to discover the science and secrets of creating movie magic.
Billed as a family show suitable for children aged 6 or over, the 110 minute show is a showcase of horror effects, pyrotechnics and gore.
A team of professionals demonstrate live special effects on stage, from fiery infernos to gruesome sci-fi monsters and apocalyptic weather.
There are plenty of stunt effects like fight sequences, fireball explosions and sound effects to keep the children entertained, including a huge animatronic dinosaur which charges onto stage for fans of JURASSIC PARK.
The show also promises more pyrotechnics than any other UK touring theatre show and features a large air cannon in the finale that is capable of firing a projectile over 500 metres.
If you love films, science or special effects, this is the show for you!
THE HOLLYWOOD SPECIAL EFFECTS SHOW runs at The Lowry from Friday 3 June to Saturday 4 June. To book tickets visit The Lowry Website or call the Box Office on 0843 208 6000. Tickets are priced at £15.50-£17.00 (including £2.00 booking fee).
