Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga discuss the creative process behind the music of A STAR IS BORN
Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut A STAR IS BORN finally hits UK cinemas tomorrow, starring Lady Gaga in her first leading role in a major motion picture.
The new take on the tragic love story sees Cooper play seasoned musician Jackson Maine, who falls in love with struggling artist Ally (Gaga). Coxed by Jackson into the spotlight, Ally’s career takes off just as Jackson’s career takes a downward spiral, forcing the personal side of their relationship to break down as Jack fights an ongoing battle with his own internal demons.
Ahead of its release at UK cinemas on 3 October, a two-part behind-the-scenes special has been released by Warner Bros UK.
The first feature, named FINDING ALLY’S VOICE, features multiple award-winning Lady Gaga in conversation with Bradley Cooper, Mark Ronson and Lukas Nelson.
Creating The Sound: Finding Ally’s Voice
The second feature called JACKSON MAINE shows how four-time Oscar nominee Cooper found Jackson’s voice as they discuss the creative process behind the music and reveal rehearsal footage and performance clips from the film.

In addition to playing Ally in the film, Gaga, who earned her Oscar nod for the song TIL IT HAPPENS TO YOU from THE HUNTING GROUND, performs original songs in the film, which she wrote with Cooper and a handful of artists, including Lukas Nelson, Jason Isbell and Mark Ronson. All the music is original and was recorded live for the film.
A STAR IS BORN is released in UK cinemas from 3 October 2018.
